The
Cellarbirds are the renowned "in-house band" of
Saturation Acres Recording Studio. If requested, we will provide
a rhythm section for your project - bass, drums, keys, guitars,
etc.... Since the studios inception, we have mapped out, arranged,
and played on countless tracks recorded at Saturation Acres.

SECTION* THE CELLARBIRDS - "THE MAKING OF PERFECT SMILE"
OVERVIEW
We released "Perfect Smile" in May 2001 to widespread
critical acclaim and "selective" sales. Since Saturation
Acres opened in 1999, the 'Birds have been the "in-house"
band for the studio. We have played on literally dozens of
tracks for various singer/songwriters coming through the studio.
After playing on everyone else's records for a few years,
eventually we got around to making our own. But we were so
busy with existing studio schedule that we had to write the
record on the spot during off days. Basically we would show
up in the morning with no song and leave in the afternoon
with a potential track. We did that for 14 days and picked
the best 10 tracks out of those days. That's the record. The
result has been called "Tom Petty meets John Lennon meets
The Replacements". It's a pretty straight up, classic
sounding record. Lots of funky arrangements, odd instrument
combinations, classic tones, good songs and general rocking
out. I think Perfect Smile is as good of a touchstone for
the Saturation Acres vibe as anything out there.
